1、 Payment upon presentation of guarantee.

The beneficiary issues a letter of guarantee acknowledging the defects in the documents and declares that if the issuing bank refuses to pay, the beneficiary shall repay the amount and expenses advanced by the negotiating bank, and apply for authorization from the issuing bank to make payment.

2、 Table presentation.

The negotiating bank shall list the discrepancies on the letter of lading, solicit the opinions of the issuing bank, and the issuing bank shall negotiate with the applicant whether they agree to make payment. After receiving a positive response, the negotiating bank will proceed with the negotiation. If the applicant does not accept, the issuing bank will refund the document, and the negotiating bank will still refund the document to the beneficiary.

3、 Electric lifting.

The negotiating bank is temporarily not sending documents to the issuing bank. Instead, notify the issuing bank of any discrepancies in the documents through telegraph and transmission. If the issuing bank agrees to make payment, then negotiate and send the documents. If they do not agree, the beneficiary may retrieve the documents as soon as possible and try to correct them.

4、 Collection with evidence.

There are serious discrepancies in the documents, or the validity period of the letter of credit has expired and the letter of credit in hand cannot be used. The bank can only be entrusted to indicate in the letter of credit sent to the issuing bank that "the documents under the letter of credit are subject to collection processing" as a distinction, which is called "documentary collection". And general collection is called "unlicensed collection". Due to the applicant's refusal to accept due to discrepancies in the documents, documentary collections are often refused payment, which is a last resort.
